Saturday evening something very special happened in Panarama Bar. Cologne based beauty, Lena Willikens played an incredible set, one unlike anything before. If your unfamiliar with this special human she is known for her incredible approach to both producing and spinning vinyl, this lovely lady has a special quality embed in her, a knack for beautiful, deep, mysterious music that speaks to you. When she spins records she likes to let herself go in the name of dance and free thought. May it be obscure proto-techno, jacking spirits, industrial boogie, synthesized disco, raw house, or other obscure electronic oddities. She recently released her debut EP Phantom Delia a few months ago, co produced with Matias Aguayo and released via his record label Comeme. The record is dark but playful boosting a whole lot of sass but keeping it her quirky self at the same time. This magical lady is one to watch. Check out the beginning track from her EP, titled Howlin Lupis… OOFFPPHH.
